    Rubric Quality
I have found there is a danger of rubrics turning into one of the following:
    A. glorified check-lists
    B. measuring what's easiest to measure instead of what's most important to measure
    C. So many categories you can't even tell the true learning focus of the assignment
    D. weight value of categories is not considered

I'd like to recommend an outstanding resource that teaches teachers how to be critical consumers/designers of how to recognize "true" quality rubrics - Creating and Recognizing Quality Rubrics by Judy Arter and Jan Chappuis. There are many examples provided of weak, medium and strong rubrics with reasoning provided why. The book is to be used as a teaching tool - not as a book of pre-made rubrics that I can surf. There is a real danger in surfing for rubrics if one doesn't understand elements of quality rubric design beyond a pre-made box with squares.
